From Wanderlust to WWOOF: Jenna Pollard Shares Her Sustainable Journey on The Sustainable Living Show
In a recent episode of The Sustainable Living Show, WWOOF-USA’s Membership Program Manager, Jenna Pollard, shared her heartfelt journey into the world of organic farming, cultural exchange, and meaningful connection. With six years in her current role, Jenna has become a cornerstone of the WWOOF-USA team, supporting and educating members as they explore hands-on learning opportunities on farms across the country.
Jenna’s own WWOOF story began with a love for travel and a desire to dive deeper into the local cultures she visited. “When I went to Southeast Asia with no connections, WWOOF helped me stay with a local family and learn their farming practices firsthand,” she recalls. That one experience opened the door to a lifelong passion—since then, she’s WWOOFed on an estimated 60 to 80 farms around the world.
Through Jenna’s story, it’s clear that WWOOF is more than just a platform—it’s a pathway to understanding, community, and transformation. Whether you’re looking to learn about sustainable farming, connect with new people, or explore the world in a more meaningful way, WWOOF makes it possible—one farm stay at a time.
