The 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck southern Turkey on February 6, 2023 has left massive destruction across Turkey, northern and central Syria, and beyond.
To date more than 8,000 people have died, almost 50,000 people have been injured. The devastating toll continues to rise.

AFAD
AFAD is the official Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey. The institution is currently active and coordinates the rescuing operations in the field.

AKUT
AKUT is a voluntary, non-governmental organization involved in searching, assisting and rescuing all who require aid within natural disasters. The organization is well known in Turkey with its rescuing activities with trained professional teams against earthquakes.

AHBAP
AHBAP is a Turkish charity association focusing on humanitarian aid, natural disaster coordinations, animal protection and more. AHBAP is currently active in the earthquake region with many volunteers and logistic help.

The UN Refugee Agency
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization working to save lives, protect the rights of refugees. The agency is active both in Turkey and Syria.
