Are you looking for an adventure that’s both exciting and meaningful? Do you want to immerse yourself in nature, learn new skills, and make a positive impact?
If so, WWOOF might be just what you’re looking for.
WWOOFing a unique way to learn, explore and contribute to sustainable agriculture. It offers you the opportunity to stay on organic farms, share meals with your host, and learn how to grow food sustainably while participating in farm activities.Â
How can you get started on your WWOOF journey this summer? Follow these steps:

🌎 1. Choose Your Adventure:
Take some time to consider which region or state(s) you’d like to explore. Whether it’s the sunny fields of the West Coast, the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, the rustic charm of the Midwest, or the picturesque farms of the East Coast, there’s an opportunity waiting for you. Remember – you don’t have to travel far to WWOOF. There could be local farmers ready to welcome you right in your own backyard!
🌱 2. Join the Community:
Sign up for a WWOOF-USA membership and create a WWOOFer profile that shares your WWOOFing goals, interests and availability.
This is your chance to introduce yourself to potential hosts and let them know why you’re excited to visit their farm.

👋🏽 3. Reach Out to Hosts:
Browse through the list of 1,200 hosts across the USA and reach out to those who catch your eye.
Introduce yourself, share why you’re interested in WWOOFing at their farm, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Clear and respectful communication is key to a successful experience!
🥾 4. Prepare for Your Adventure:
As your trip approaches, make sure you’re prepared for life on the farm.
Pack appropriate clothing and gear (ask your host what they recommend!), share any dietary needs or medical requirements you may have with the host, keep in touch with your host leading up to the visit, and get ready to live your best farm life.

✨ 5. Embrace the Experience:
Once you arrive at the farm, open your heart and mind to the experiences that await you. Be prepared to dig in, learn new skills, and forge lasting connections with your fellow WWOOFers and hosts.
And most importantly, savor every moment of your adventure.
WWOOFing can be much more than just a summer trip – it’s a journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and environmental stewardship. Please reach out if you have questions on how to get started – we’re here to help!
