We’re excited to share that WWOOF-USA has been awarded a $48,000 grant from North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NCR-SARE) to support and grow our Future Farmer Program.
“This is a farmer-driven program offering hands-on organic training and mentorship for new farmers, co-designed with partner farms and strengthened through online instruction, on-farm learning, and regional outreach,” said Jenna Pollard, Engagement and Educational Programs Manager for WWOOF-USA.
NCR-SARE’s Partnership Grant Program supports farmer-driven research, demonstration, and education that advances sustainable agriculture across the North Central region.
We’re incredibly grateful for this investment in the next generation of organic farmers and will use it to continue creating opportunities for aspiring growers to gain the skills, experience, and connections they need to pursue a future in farming. 🌱
