Future Farmer Juan Pablo’s Story

Help empower Future Farmers like Juan Pablo.

Juan Pablo grew up in a rural area of southern Chile. For him, helping his dad with the family fruit forest and garden was a part of daily life, but not necessarily his future career path. He later moved to Santiago to study law, but found his true passion lay in those farming roots and started an organic agriculture educational project based in Chile.

Juan Pablo received a Future Farmers Grant from WWOOF-USA last spring and visited a non-profit research farm in Michigan, learning about growing food to fight poverty and climate change. He is now using those skills to to impact lives in Chile.

WWOOF gave Juan Pablo access to a community of educators and the opportunity to gain new skills, which he’s using today to help our troubled planet and make a difference in his home country.

Your donation will help fund the 2023 Future Farmers Grant Program, giving WWOOF the tools to help empower future change-makers.
